Six Banyan Temple

These are from our visit to a local Buddhist temple in GZ. It was a beautiful and peaceful place, and great for photos! Unfortunately Tessa woke up right after we got there, and was difficult to make happy the rest of the time. The monks will bless your child, but we opted not to since the blessing is not from God, but rather from the Buddha they believe in. Interesting place! The people that come to worship bring Buddha fruit and flowers.

Right before she woke up. You can see this was a day I was boycotting makeup. And fixing my hair. Hey- at least I showered!

Monks and worshipers leaving a service. The chants and music they were singing were gorgeous. Of course, I don't know what they were saying, but the actual music was very peaceful sounding.
Of note, there are only two Banyan trees left. I think they should change their name.
Monday night we enjoyed walking around our hotel area.
Pics to follow....
